Q: What is included with a new Paslode Li-Ion Cordless nailer?

A new Cordless nailer includes the following:

Q: Do I need to oil my cordless nailer before use?

Your Cordless nailer comes pre-lubricated from the factory. It is not uncommon to see a small amount of oil that seeped out into the case. Because the fuel contains a small amount of oil, it is not necessary to oil the tool during normal use. The only time the tool should be oiled is after it has been cleaned.

Q: Where is the serial number located on a Paslode PowerVent?

The serial number is engraved adjacent the nose on the right hand side of the magazine. The serial number is 10 digits long; PV is for ANZ PowerVent tools.

Q: What type of oil should I use after the Impulse nailer has been cleaned?

Use only Paslode Cordless Tool Lubricating Oil part number B20544F. It is specially formulated to withstand the high temperatures generated by Cordless nailers. Using other oils can cause the rapid build-up of combustion residue leading to poor nailer performance and more frequent cleanings.

Q: Does Paslode offer a cleaning kit for Cordless nailers?

Paslode offers a Degreaser Part Number B20544L and Impulse Lubricating oil B20544F specifically designed for the Impulse Range of Tools

Q: Can I use something other than Paslode Degreaser to clean my nailer?

Paslode Degreaser Cleaner B20544L, is specially formulated for Paslode Cordless and Pneumatic nailers. We recommend that you use our products because we have tested it with our nailers. Other products may damage electrical components, plastic parts, and rubber parts. They may also leave a residue which could cause damage to the nailer or injury to the operator of the nailer.

Q: How often should I clean my Cordless Nailer or Bradder?

The Operating Manuals suggest intervals for cleaning. Below is the PowerVent Cleaning Schedule

WARRANTY

New requirements for product warranty

Thank you for purchasing a Paslode tool. Your Paslode Australia tool comes with a Paslode Warranty. As you may know, recent legal changes apply to Product Guarantees provided with tools purchased by a Consumer. The Paslode Warranty document provided on purchase of your Paslode Australia tool may not take into account these recent legal changes. For a Consumer, under the Australian Consumer Law, this page provides information to be read with your Paslode Warranty to ensure that you are fully informed about your legal rights.

Statutory rights for goods purchased as a consumer

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. All rights provided under your Paslode warranty are in addition to any rights you have as a Consumer under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty and Limitations

Paslode warrants that this product will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a
period of 12 months from the date of acquisition by the original consumer. If a defect in material or
workmanship becomes evident during that period Paslode will, at its option, either repair replace
or refund the product. In the event of such a defect, the product should be returned to us (with
proof of purchase and the original packaging) at the address below together with written details of
the defect or returned directly to an authorised Paslode warranty service provider. Any handling
or transportation expenses (and other expenses incurred in claiming under this warranty) are not
covered by this warranty and will not be borne by Paslode.
In addition, a five-year manufacturer’s warranty will apply to all moulded nylon components on
Impulse tools only -
Motor housing, Cap and Grille
Handle Halves and Actuator
Trigger
Nylon Magazine Parts

This warranty does not apply to part(s) replacement required as a result of normal wear. This
warranty will be void as to any tool and/or equipment which has been subjected to misuse, abuse,
accidental or intentional damage. The warranty may also be void if tools are used with fasteners,
fuel, batteries or battery chargers not meeting Paslode Australia’s or Paslode New Zealand’s
specifications, size or quality, or if any product is improperly maintained, is repaired with other
than genuine replacement parts, is damaged in transit or handling or in Paslode’s opinion, has been
altered or repaired in a way that affects or detracts from the performance and safety of the tool and/
or equipment. This warranty only applies to Paslode products that are supplied by Paslode Australia
or Paslode New Zealand.

In addition to other rights and remedies that may be available under law, our goods come with
guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law (for consumers in Australia)
and the Consumer Guarantees Act (for consumers in NZ). If you are a consumer in Australia,
you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced
if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. If you
are a consumer in New Zealand, we will comply with our obligations to you under the Consumer
Guarantees Act.

Subject to any mandatory terms:
(a) Paslode makes no warranty, express or implied, relating to merchantability, fitness or
otherwise, except as stated above; (b) Paslode’s liability as stated above is in lieu of all other
warranties arising out of, or in connection with, the use and performance of the tool and/
or equipment; (c) Paslode shall in no event be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential
damages, including, but, not limited to, damages which may arise from loss of anticipated profits or
production, spoilage of materials, increased cost of operation or otherwise; (d) Paslode is not liable
for personal injury whether direct or indirect howsoever suffered arising from or in connection
with any misuse of the product; and (e) Paslode is not liable for any negligence in the manufacture,
supply or any instructions related to the tool and/or equipment.

Paslode reserves the right to change specifications, equipment or designs at any time without
notice and without incurring obligation.
